I remembered my female classmates will be frantically looking for their eyebrow pencils and start drawing their eyebrows after PE lessons (some without a mirror) during my secondary school days.
Having nicely drawn brows made these girls look well groomed and super popular.
I never have the problem of having no eyebrows. My problem has always been hair removal.
Now that I’m getting older, I noticed the rate of hair regrowth after plucking and shaving has slowed down significantly to the stage that I needed to draw my brows now. It definitely made me more conscious.
Somehow I still haven’t mastered the skill of eyebrow drawing and I am still learning.
Having a facial beautician whose eyebrow fashion who is still stuck in the 00s doesn’t help either.

Every time I tried to grow them or change the shape, they go back to the thinly shaped sharp ends every month. Hence, I decided to address my concerns by booking an appointment with an eyebrow technician.
Friends who did eyebrow embroidery could tell the difference at once and gave nice comments.
My family commented my embroidered brows didn’t look much different from my natural brows. Just tell me I am a natural beauty lah. Lol.
Colleagues commented I look more awake without me revealing what I did first. They probably just assumed I had better sleep or I didn’t have much work stress.
I do wonder if I am feeling so empty that I craved for superficial gratification?
Doesn’t matter. Let’s hope I get the gratification I needed to make myself happier and be more confident of myself.
