My life for the past few months was basically…
Cough cough cough
AHEM
*Clears throat*

*Spit phlegm out*
During telemedicine consultation, the doctor said, “your condition is not suitable for tele-consultation. Please visit the clinic.”
At the clinic, “You need antibiotics,” followed by, “You need steroids”, for the next.
Come next visit, “You need an x-ray.”
“Nothing wrong with x-ray, probably a reinfection,” said the doctor during review, “Use the inhaler when you have difficulty breathing.”
It has been more than two months and half a dozen clinic visits. Maybe it is the 100 day cough (百日咳)。Maybe I should start counting down for the cough to be gone.
I had this last year. How frequent can someone get this?
I’ve never bought and boiled so much herbal soup and drinks before. I even bought a special kettle to try urban remedy for this cough. It worked for a while and deteriorate again.
Have I been meeting too many people and contracting too much germs to be reinfected again and again?
I wear a mask on public transport.
I wear a mask at places with carpets.
My throat itches after staying in an air-conditioned place for a few hours.
My tummy aches from coughing.
My head hurts.
My chest feel tight.
I’m getting conscious from the glares.
I am sure I don’t have tuberculosis.
I just want to stop this cough badly.
No mala dishes.
No laksa.
No tom yum.
No chili padi.
No sambal.
No KFC.
Life without the above is bland.
Cough be gone.
