Where did grandpa go?

I picked this up at the reception of my mother in law’s funeral. I was attracted by its title, colours and illustrations.
This is a story about conversations between a grandfather and grandson. Theirs hopes and dreams and how old people usually fall down somewhere, get sick and somehow don’t get up.
I was reminded of my grandfather while reading and I started crying.
Prior reading this book, my son asked me where did his ah ma go after I told him she went away (走了).
Then, I told him she is asleep and will never wake up. He just stood beside her coffin and watched her. I told him to remember her and stayed by his side before he lost interest.
Unlike the child in the book, my son and I never had the chance to talk to our grandparents to the extent of asking where will we go after our life ends.
“虽然到那个时候你将看不到阿公,但是,阿公却可以看得到你们。相信我,我们的心是永远也不会分开的。”
I really miss you 爷爷。
